I cannot believe it has been so long since I last blogged. The time has flown by. Well fall is officially here in New England - the trees are changing colors and the air is crisp.
Nate loves Kindergarten. I am continually amazed with how much and how quickly he is learning. He is now reading short first reader books on his own and is trying to read everything he sees - from cereal boxes to advertisements. I guess there will be no more spelling words we do not want him to hear anymore! We went to curriculum night at school and posted on the wall were various pictures the kids had drawn. One in particular was about what they wanted to learn this year in Kindergarten. Some kids wanted to learn how to read or spell, but not Nate. He wants to learn how to drive a truck this year! Nothing like aiming high!
We have been going to soccer games and practices every week now for four weeks and the kids have really caught on to the game. They are kicking it into the correct goal and they are starting to learn the rules. It is so much fun to watch them play every week. Here are some of my favorite photos from the games...
We are continuing to do work on the house. The porch has been re-built and we are now going to put down some sort of rock path up to the porch. We hope to have that done by Halloween. Speaking of ... you will never guess what Nate is going to be for Halloween! You will just have to wait for the photos!
