Today was a huge milestone in the life of Nate - the first day of Kindergarten. It went off without a hitch. Nate was a little anxious this morning but once he saw his friend Marcus on the playground before school start he was great. We are thrilled that we are one of the chosen few who are in Miss G's class. We had heard she was a great teacher and have been incredibly impressed already. A couple weeks ago Nate received a letter from her welcoming him to her class and giving him a couple instructions for the first day of school - wear something green and bring your favorite book. She also called all the kids yesterday to chat with them about coming to kindergarten. Here are a few photos from this morning...

I think these three are going to be the best of friends and am excited at the prospect of seeing them grow up together. I am still very close with friends I made in Kindergarten and first grade and I wish the same for Nate.

Yay for Nate! His buddy, Tea, is so enjoying Kindergarten.
At 9 am she is ready to go, too bad school doesn't start until 12:30 pm.
I, too, really enjoy my ongoing friendships from Kindergarten ;)
