Day one: We arrived in NYC late in the afternoon and as we were walking to our hotel Nate said, "New York City has a lot of smells. Most of them yucky!" We arrived at our hotel in Times Square which we quickly learned is located right next door to the four story Toys R Us Mega store. Of course that was the first stop on our adventure. After picking out a toy to purchase, Nate conned Deb into riding the Ferris Wheel.
Day two: The ONE thing Nate was adamant about going to see was the Statue of Liberty. We bought tickets weeks ago so we were committed to go! Unfortunately it was cold, rainy and windy that day. We made the best of it even though we got soaked. The highlight of the day was when Nate got his Junior Park Ranger badge for answering questions about the Statue of Liberty.
Day three: Scarred by the cold and rainy day prior, we scrapped our plans for Central Park zoo and opted for the American Museum of Natural History. It was amazing - by far the best natural history museum I have ever been too. After several hours at the museum, we decided it was time for an early dinner and a trip to Dylan's Candy Bar. It is every kid's dream!
A T-Rex kiss
Ohhhhh candy!
All in all it was a great trip. We hope to go back soon and spend some time in Central Park and explore other parts of the city.
