The Birthday Bash

Nate turned six on Friday so he got an entire weekend of birthday madness. Dave arrived on Thursday and the partying started Friday night. For the last couple years we have let him pick where he wants to go for his birthday dinner. This year, he decided he wanted to go to a Japanese steak house ala Benihana. So we found a knock-off close to our town and went. He loved the show and the steak! Saturday morning Nate opened all his family presents - he got some great stuff and has been playing with them all weekend especially the tractor with the trailer (thanks Grammy Jeff) and the space shuttle (thanks daddy and doodoo). Sunday we hosted 9 of Nate's friend's for a Mad Science birthday party. Everyone had a great time. The best present of all was the 16 inches of snow we got the past two days. This morning Nate and Dave made a tunnel through a snow bank and then a cave. It was a great weekend.
