Busy, busy, busy

So much has been going on in the past couple weeks. Work has been very busy with meetings and lots of projects. I will be presenting a poster and moderating a panel presentation on the use of dental vans in increasing access to dental care for persons with HIV in the US at a national conference in DC the last week of August. Our project also was accepted to present another poster and conduct two other panel presentation on methods used to increase access to oral health care for persons with HIV. This is a very exciting time for the project and we anticipate things will only get busier as our data collection on this study grows over the next couple years. It is a great project, and the first of its kind in topic and magnitude.

At home we have been working on getting contractors set-up for the fall. We hope to have the hard wood floors re-done, the front porch re-built and the exterior painted. I have my fingers crossed that we will really get it all done.

Nate and I went to our favorite beach last Friday. It was great. The weather was perfect and when the tide went out, we found at least 100 sand dollars (but threw them all back because they were alive). We caught a little sand crab and a sea snail. I think we were there almost seven hours.

Nate and I are getting excited for our trip to SF and Reno next week. It is going to be fun to see Nate's dad, Grandma and Grandpa, and all our friends. It is also the weekend of my 20th high school reunion, so I will be seeing lots of old friend I have not seen in years. The whole gang will be going to DC with me at the end of August. Deb and I will both be attending the conference while Nate and Dave will be out terrorizing the tourist attractions of DC. Should be a fun time with lots of photos and stories to tell.
